On behalf of its member banks, welcome to MEGALINK’s web page! As customers of our member banks, we would like to update you on the shared electronic banking services available for you – via Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), Point of Sale terminals (POS), and soon, the internet and mobile phones.

This web gives you details about current developments and upcoming services in MegaLink. We hope that this will serve as another channel of communication on how you can avail of convenient access to your accounts anytime, anyhow, anywhere.


MEGALINK MILESTONES

2008
MegaLink was admitted to the Asian Payment Network (APN), which counts ATM networks in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia as members. This membership paves the way for interconnection of ATM networks between member countries.

2007
MegaLink announces the appointment of Benjamin P. Castillo as the company’s first full time President and CEO.
MegaLink opens its membership to non-banks and accepts ENCASH Network Services and MASS-SPECC Cooperative Development Center.

MegaLink partners with MediLink, the first and only electronic claims network serving the Philippine healthcare industry, to allow MegaLink cardholders to pay for medical services in accredited hospitals and clinics.

2006
ATM Switch Outsourcing is implemented with Philam Bank.

More banks participate in mobile banking, internet payments and inter-bank funds transfer.

MegaLink pursues security and risk management initiatives, and reviews its organization and business and IT strategy.

ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) signs up MegaLink as founding member in the Philippines counting the Philippines as its 50th member country.

2005
Debit Bills Payment via SMART mobile phones becomes available.

MegaLink is the first to implement full ATM Switch Outsourcing in the country with iBank as its pilot bank.

MegaLink successfully upgrades its switch software increasing its capacity almost five times. Redundant network configuration via frame relay is implemented across its member banks with shadow connections to the disaster recovery site.

2004
Mobile Banking Service via SMART Communications, MegaLink Internet Payment Service via Union Bank's The PORT and Interbank Funds Transfer (IBFT) via ATMs are launched.

2003
MegaLink launches Electronic Settlement with the Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas and becomes the first non-bank to participate in BSP's PhilPass. MegaLink establishes its Disaster Recovery Site.
